Volkorenpenne met walnotensaus

100 gr walnoten
50 gr versgemalen Parmezaanse kaas
5 eetlepels olijfolie
2 dl room
peper, zout
400 gr volkoren penne
2 bosjes verse basilicum
150 gr heel dun gesneden gerookt spek

Houd enkele walnoten apart voor de garnering en pureer de rest met de geraspte
kaas en de olijfolie.
Roer de room erdoor en kruid met peper en zout.
Kook de penne al dente.
Snijd intussen het spek in stukjes en bak die in een koekenpan met
anti-aanbaklaag, zonder vloeistof krokant uit.
Pluk de basilicum van de steeltjes.
Giet de penne af, vermeng ze met de saus en de basilicum en garneer met het
spek en de achtergehouden walnoten.
