4 grote, in dunne ringen gesneden uien
50 gr boter
1-2 gesnipperde tenen knoflook
1/2 theelepel peper
1/2 theelepel suiker
20 gr bloem
1 liter bouillon (bij voorkeur zelfgemaakt)
2 dl droge witte wijn
4 sneden witbrood zonder korst
8 eetlepels geraspte oude kaas

Smelt de boter en fruit de uien en de knoflook daarin 15
minuten.
Voeg de suiker, de peper en de bloem toe en laat het geheel 5
minuten smoren.
Doe er de bouillon en de wijn bij en laat de soep 15 minuten
koken.
Proef of er zout of peper bij moet.
Schenk de soep in soepkommen en leg het brood op de soep.
Bestrooi met de kaas en zet de kommen onder de voorverwarmde
grill tot de kaas goudbruin is.
Serveer direct.
